About LondonSeen

LondonSeen began in 2000 as a collaboration between two freelance photographers Ivan Coleman and David Ramkalawon. The aim was to create a picture library devoted to images of contemporary London, its people, their customs and issues concerning life in a major world city.

The library is ever expanding and hopes to have pictures covering the entire Greater London area. At present the collection comprises of a few thousand transparencies, prints and digital files which are divided into five major categories: Culture, Environment, Industry, People and Social Issues.

We are looking to expand our group of contributing photographer and would like to hear from anyone with interesting and unusual images or features of London and London life. Ideally we are looking for photographers who are already photographing some aspect of London or life in London and have a strong interest in the place. We would also hope they would be willing to contribute to the library on a regular basis. We would NOT, however, be interested in collections comprising only of a few pictures of the usual tourist cliches and nothing else.
